Written so you can use it on anybody, us included. Every provider in this market looks much the same from the outside and they all say "best" and "trusted". These seven questions separate them, because the answers come out either specific or evasive.
Not the firm's average, the individual walking in. Nurses should be GNM or BSc. An attendant is a trained caregiver, not a nurse, and anyone blurring the two has told you something important.
Everybody claims verified staff. A copy of the actual report in your hand is the only version that counts, and it saves questions later on too.
This is the whole difference between an agency and hiring someone directly. Ask who answers at 7am, how quickly a substitute reaches you, and whether they turn up knowing the case or knowing nothing.
Without one you will be having the same argument every fortnight about what was and was not agreed. With one, nobody gets asked to do work beyond their scope.
Ask specifically what sits outside it. Consumables, travel, night rates and festival days are where a figure quietly grows once you have already said yes.
If the caregiver's personal phone is your only contact, you have not hired an agency, you have paid for an introduction. Ask who owns the case.
The most revealing question, and almost nobody asks it. Families regularly call for a 24-hour nurse when a 12-hour attendant would serve the patient better and cost considerably less. Anyone who simply agrees with your own diagnosis is selling. We would sooner take the smaller booking and still have you next year.
Pune has spread a long way, and distance decides what can actually be sustained over weeks rather than what sounds possible on a first call. Give us the exact locality and you will get a straight answer. If your area is not listed, ask anyway.
Most of what we do begins as a discharge. Patients come home to us from Ruby Hall Clinic, Jehangir, Sahyadri, Deenanath Mangeshkar, Aditya Birla Memorial, Noble, Sassoon and a long list of smaller nursing homes across the city and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Send the discharge summary while you are still at the hospital rather than after reaching home. It names the procedure, the medication and the follow-up the doctor expects, which is enough for us to say what level of care the case actually needs. One point particular to Pune: book against the address the patient is going home to rather than the hospital they are leaving, because somebody discharged in Camp but recovering in Wakad needs a caregiver who can reach Wakad every morning for weeks.
